Industry 4.0: Jersey Lomellina has been investing in innovation

The company has invested over 2 Million  Euros to speed up the digitalization process and be more resilient, competitive and efficient.

Investing on machinery, equipment, software and production process to make a company more competitive and enhance human resources. This is the target to be reached for Jersey Lomellina, the Italian market leader in the production of stretch circular knitted fabrics, which, over the past two years, has invested over 2 Million Euros to make its production smarter, automated and interconnected.

Thanks to such a relevant investment, the company has officially joined the Fourth Industrial Revolution betting on its own capacity to grow – to become more flexible and competitive – and on sustainability which has been the focus of the whole project since its early stages.

We are talking about the implementation of new business models and new technologies making use of Artificial Intelligence to increase productivity and improve working conditions. The operator/ machine co-operation represents a concrete support to the corporate development process  which foresees the use of both technology and people, who will remain the focus of Jersey Lomellina mission.

Energy savings and sustainability are crucial for being competitive especially when it comes to  the fashion industry, one of the most polluting in the world . For years now, Jersey Lomellina has been using 100% recycled and eco-sustainable raw materials – from pre and post consumer waste which, at the end of their useful life, instead of being disposed of in a landfill, are recovered and regenerated through a complex physical-chemical process – and has also been implementing several environmental policies and supporting innovative projects aimed at creating a truly sustainable supply chain, at supporting a circular economy model, and at safeguarding their workers health and the well being of the local communities and of the global eco-system.
