Alabama is a performance fabric with a great appeal for designers and architects, as well. It boasts several features which make it ideal for the creation of innovative furniture pieces, such as its extremely soft and comfortable hand feel which ensure a high end tactile and visual experience. It reminds to the softness of suede with an extra dusty effect, which makes it look matte, “dusty”, almost three-dimensional. Most importantly, Alabama is fire proof (class 1 IM) and can therefore be used for padded components and, in general, for broader contract projects.
