Yes, Carvico fabrics are Oeko-tex certified. The Oeko-tex label guarantees that Carvico fabrics do not contain or release substances that are harmful to human health: they are therefore certified as being suitable for contact with the skin.

Most of Carvico fabrics provide optimal protection against UV rays. Carvico can test your fabric to the Australian Standard AS/NZS 4399:1999 Sun Protective Clothing – Evaluation and classification and provide a UPF test report for each sample.

All Carvico fabrics intended for swimwear are resistant to chlorine and salt water. For competitive performances we recommend using fabrics containing Xtra Life LYCRA® brand elastomer or fabrics labeled as chlorine proof.
In addition, for high level performances we recommend colours with a fastness to chlorinated (swimming pool) water (100ml/g) value of 3 or higher on the grey scale for colour change.
