CARVICO AND JERSEY LOMELLINA HAVE RECEIVED, FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW, THE WHP (WORKPLACE HEALTH PROMOTION) ACCREDITATION

On Wednesday 3 December the Sala Greppi of Bergamo hosted the IV WHP Network Convention. Carvico and Jersey Lomellina were among the protagonists of the event and, for the third year in a row, were awarded as “Businesses promoting welfare and health on the workplace”. We are talking about an initiative  jointly promoted by the local ASL (Local Health Authority Offices), Confindustria and the Provincia (Local District Government) to spread awareness about health and wellbeing measures.
The issues addressed by Carvico and Jersey Lomellina in 2014 were: fighting alcohol abuse and promoting social welfare. During the convention the businesses presented the project implemented in 2014, focuseds on the concepts of  “well-being” and how to balance the life-work ratio. The project involved several initiatives: partnerships with doctors, wedding cards and baby cards for newlyweds and parents and two corporate events aimed at promoting  team building among employees. We would also like to draw special attention to the event titled “Chef for a Day. Food from the World”. We are talking about a special dinner, organized on the same day as the annual football tournament, and conceived to promote  the integration of foreign workers who were the stars of the evening and offered to cook some typical dishes to make their colleagues find out something  more about their countries culture and cuisine.  And then… some Italian recipes were prepared as well to return the favour. The soundtrack of the evening was obviously made of technical music  from all over the world to make everybody dance.
See you next year!
