For over 50 years, Carvico has been producing last generation warp knit fabrics for beachwear, sportswear and outerwear. The company is really proud of both its Italian origins and its global spirit and has always stood out for the outstanding quality of its  100% Made in Italy products. A deep respect for the tradition, a permanent research into new technologies and the fact of being totally devoted to quality are the factors which have made of Carvico one of the biggest players in its sector both nationally and internationally. We are talking about a pragmatic and really proactive business, which is always doing its best to meet its customers’ requirements by offering them high performance, cutting-edge fabrics such as Revolutional™ Energy: selected by Material Connexion Italy for the prestigious MCI project (Material Connexion Italia Contest), a competition dedicated to students and Italian and foreign designers,  aimed at promoting, supporting and boosting the creative potential of a whole generation in the development of new, innovative and sustainable materials, launched in partnership with the  magazine Wired.  Revolutional™ Energy stands for 100% Made in Italy quality and has been chosen by Antonio D’Ascenzo, a young architect, for his project called “DesignZero”, which has come second into the competition. Stemming from six months of thorough research, this fabric by Carvico is a real bestseller . Offering extraordinary performance levels, this fabric boasts two important patents one related to the fabric structure, the other to its production process.  Made of 71% micro polyamide and 29% elastane, Revolutional™ Energy features a high shaping  power, excellent stretch and muscular compression; it ensures a perfect  fit, is absolutely non see-through and extremely breathable.  These characteristics make it ideal for activewear and swimwear items designed for a long-term, intense use into chlorinated water : thanks to the presence of XTRA LIFE LYCRA®, Revolutional™ Energy is, indeed, extremely resistant to chlorine, suntan creams and oils ( 5 times more resistant than standard elastomers ) and is therefore a long-lasting fabric. In addition to this, it is resistant to the abrasive action of sand and to pilling and UV protective UV (UPF 50+).

Thus, Revolutional™ Energy and Carvico are going to be among the stars of the exhibition dedicated to the “Eccellenze Italiane” ( Italian Success Stories ) , to be held at the Triennale in Milano, from 7 November to 8 December 2013. Such event, organized by Material Connexion Italy, is a real must for the season, in which the nine materials chosen by the contestant will be displayed along with a selection of the most innovative products created by a range of 100% Italian companies. This is going to be the perfect chance for re-discovering the charme of Made in Italy and the love for our country: even though we might forget about it sometimes, our Country owns beauties  the whole world is envious of.
